Integrating Additional Entities with QuickBooks and Xero

If you have a Quickbooks or Xero integration, you can easily connect additional entities with Datarails. As a result, Datarails consolidates your inputs, and you can access all entities via your connected Excel reports and Dashboards.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to Xero, with privileges to allow access for new integration connections
  • Admin access to DataRails to set up the integration between DataRails and Xero (the integration can be later shared with non-admin users)

Data is only transferred from Xero to Datarails.
Datarails does not write or modify any data in Xero, and therefore only requires access to view your reports, organization settings, and general ledger

Note: If your Datarails environment doesn't have "Settings" in the top navigation bar, click "Home".

The following screens will guide you through authenticating the connection between Quickbooks or Xero. You'll need your login information with admin rights.

Note that Datarails only receives read access. Datarails cannot write data to Quickbooks or Xero.

When the authentication process is complete, Datarails will automatically synchronize your chart of accounts and download data for the most recent months.
