Data consistency and live updates
The data in Storyboards is dynamic and reflects any changes made to the source widgets on your dashboard. Using the live version, you can drill down your numbers while preparing and presenting your presentation.
The text remains static, preserving your edits and comments.
Static Version
Static Mode empowers users to create a static version, denoted as "Final," replicating the live version's look and feel.
The static mode, coupled with a robust data locking mechanism, offers a comprehensive solution for users seeking to freeze and present data at specific points in time.
Ensures that changes in the data won't impact the widgets, and the resulting Storyboard version is not live.
An option in the save dropdown menu enables users to save the ‘Real-time Storyboard’ as a static version.
The static version allows extensive customization, preserving the user's ability to tailor the presentation exactly as the real-time version.
This mode maintains consistency in tooltips, widget proportions, and the widget panel. However, certain limitations are in place to preserve data integrity and presentation coherence.
As the static date version isn’t updated in real time there a few limitations :
Drill Option: Excluded in the Static version.
Dynamic Aggregation and Sort: Unavailable to maintain.
Local Filters: Serve as indications only.
Sharing and Distribution:
Enabled for the static version, users can seamlessly share and download to PDF, facilitating collaboration and distribution of frozen data snapshots.
