Gauge Widgets provide an intuitive way to visualize performance metrics, track progress towards goals, and showcase key performance indicators (KPIs). Follow this step-by-step guide to create, customize, and use Gauge Widgets effectively in your Datarails dashboard.
Add a Gauge Widget
Start Adding a Widget
- Click the New button on your dashboard.
- Select Add Widget and choose the Custom category.
- Select the Gauge Widget, then click Next to proceed to the Widget Editor.
Select Your Data
- In the Widget Editor, choose the table you’d like to use.
- Under the Values section, select the column you want to track.
- Add a Filters to refine your data as needed.
Customize Your Gauge Widget
Default View
- After selecting your data, the Gauge Widget will display default segment values.
Define and Customize Segments
- Click the Range button to adjust and define your segments:
- Set the goal (always defined with absolute values).
- Choose between Absolute Values or Percentage for defining segments.
- Add or remove the entire segments as needed.
- Adjust segment borders to refine their ranges.
- Adjust Colors.
- Customize segment colors to match your organizational needs:
- Manually select colors for each segment.
- Alternatively, apply your organizational color palette for consistency.
- Save Your Customizations.
- Once all customizations are complete, click Save to add the Gauge Widget to your dashboard.
