The Datarails Report Builder is a versatile tool that allows users to create financial and operational reports using a simple drag-and-drop interface. Reports generated through the builder are embedded with Datarails formulas, ensuring that your data remains automatically updated whenever changes occur in your data source.

Access the Report Builder

You can access the Report Builder via both the Datarails Workspace and the Datarails Excel Add-in.

Via the Workspace 

1. Navigate to the left pane and click on Report Builder.
2. The List of Report Templates window will open, displaying available reports.

Via the Excel Add-In

1. Open Excel and go to the Datarails Add-in in the toolbar.
2. Under the Report Tools section, click on Report Builder.
3. Select Manage Report Builders to open the List of Report Templates window.

Utilizing Prebuilt Reports

Datarails provides a selection of prebuilt reports that can be customized to meet your organization's needs. You can view these reports in the List of Report Templates window.

Managing Prebuilt Reports

You can perform several actions on existing reports using the three-dot menu (ellipsis icon) next to each report:

• Edit: Modify the structure or data fields to better align with your requirements.​
• Delete: Remove reports that are no longer necessary.​
• Clone: Create a duplicate of an existing report to use as a foundation for a new customized report.​
• Manage: Review connected Fileboxes.
