Navigation Bar

We've redesigned the navigation bar to make it faster and more intuitive to reach every part of the platform. This article walks you through what's changed, what's new, and how to find everything.

March 2026 · All Users · ~5 min read

Visibility notice: What you see in the navigation bar depends on two factors: your entitlements (which product modules your organization has purchased) and your role (certain sections, such as Admin, are only visible to users with the appropriate permissions). If you don't see a section described in this article, it may not be part of your current plan or role.

The navigation bar has been reorganized into two clearly labelled sections — Products and FinanceOS. Products groups your module-specific capabilities; FinanceOS brings together platform-wide tools available to all users. A permanent Home shortcut sits at the top, and a Knowledge Base link at the bottom is always accessible.

Navigation Bar Structure

The navigation bar is now divided into two sections. Products contains your module-based capabilities — some of which require specific entitlements. FinanceOS contains platform-wide tools available across all plans, with visibility further shaped by your user role.

Reporting

Products · Core

The Reporting section brings together all of your financial reporting capabilities in one place, making it easier to build, manage, and distribute reports across your organization. Whether you're working with standard templates, building custom views, or exploring AI-generated insights, all reporting entry points are now consolidated under a single location in the navigation bar.

The Reporting group expanded, giving access to: My Reports, Report Builder, Templates Library, and AI Insights Reports.

Planning

Products · Product Add-on

The Planning section unifies your budgeting and forecasting workflows under a single entry point, so you can move seamlessly between your annual budget and rolling forecasts without navigating away. This section is available to organizations that have purchased the Planning module.

Product Add-on required: The Planning section is visible only if your organization has purchased the Planning module. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

Workspace

FinanceOS · Core

The Workspace section is your central hub for models, sheets, and folders across the platform. It surfaces your main workspace directly from the nav bar, and lets you pin frequently used folders for even faster access — keeping your most important work one click away at all times.

Tip: Pin your most-visited folders to the nav bar by right-clicking a folder in your Workspace and selecting Add to Favorites. Pinned folders appear directly in this section for fast access.

Tasks

FinanceOS · Core

Task management has been promoted to its own dedicated entry in the navigation bar under FinanceOS. This change reflects a clearer separation between doing work (Tasks) and configuring it (My Workflows). All users can now access their assigned tasks directly from the nav bar, while workflow configuration remains accessible to Admins and Super Admins through a separate entry.

What changed: The previous Workflow section has been split into two distinct entries. Tasks — visible to all users — provides direct access to tasks assigned to you across all active processes. My Workflows is a separate entry visible only to Admins and Super Admins, and is where workflow templates and automation rules are configured.

Item Who can see it What it's for
Tasks All users View and action tasks assigned to you across all processes and workflows.
My Workflows Admins & Super Admins only Create, configure, and manage workflow templates and automation rules.

Setup & Admin

FinanceOS · Core

Setup and Admin are both accessible from the FinanceOS section and together provide full control over your platform configuration, data architecture, and user governance. Setup focuses on how your data is structured and calculated; Admin covers who can access what and how the platform is managed. Visibility of these sections depends on your user role — not all users will see both.

The Setup group provides access to data configuration tools including Lookups, Tables, Data Flows, Integration, Calculation Models, KPIs, Metrics, Functions, and Excel Tables.

The Admin group provides access to user management and platform governance tools including Fileboxes, Locations, Files, Member & Group, Organization, Templates, Devices, Usage Reports, Logs, Table Templates, Features, Feature Flag Groups, Library Management, Input Management, and Template Notification.
