Frequently asked questions
When do the numbers change? When someone clicks Refresh. Until then the report holds the values from the last refresh.
Why do cells say Missing right after I change a filter? The report needs figures for the new selection. Changing a filter refreshes it for you; if any cell still says Missing, click Refresh.
Can I share the report with someone who does not use Datarails? Yes. They see every number in it, and nothing in the sheet shows an error for them. They cannot use the add-on.
Do people I share with see data they are not entitled to in Datarails? They see whatever numbers are in the cells. Datarails governs what each person can pull, not what is already written in a spreadsheet you shared. Share a refreshed report with the same care as any spreadsheet holding those figures.
Can several people work on the report at the same time? Yes, exactly as in any Google Sheets file. The refreshed values, the filters and the reference date are shared by the spreadsheet rather than personal to each viewer.
Where is my spreadsheet stored? In your own Google Drive, under your own Google account. Datarails does not store a copy.
How do I remove Datarails' access to my Google account? At Google Account permissions. Removing access does not delete your spreadsheets or affect your Datarails data.
