How to drill Down into your data using Datarails Flex (Excel Add-in)

The Drill Down feature lets you access the underlying numbers that were used to arrive at the “bottom line” of your report. For example, click on a final consolidated number to interactively display the marketing expense breakdown or the R&D expenditure.

Use Case

Drilling down within Excel allows you to view the underlying data. For example, revenue by customer, expenses by call center, sales by region and then by salesperson.

Every "drill down by" command can be formatted according to your needs. For example, by currency, by color, by country. These commands can be saved and referenced as templates for later use.

Key Features

  • Save time. Innovatively, and quickly, present underlying figures and data without opening endless Excel spreadsheets
  • Work more efficiently. Create drill down filters
  • Work more accurately. Reduce the chance of errors by reducing the need for manual data manipulation
  • Share the knowledge. Save and share your drill downs so other users can leverage the drill downs across multiple spreadsheets.
