Data Privacy

This article describes options for data privacy and adherence to GDPR.

  • The feature is available for Admin users and requires the Admin user to login and approve the deletion before the deletion is activated.
  • You (the Admin user) will receive a notification (notey) confirming the deletion.

Warning! The deletions described in this article are permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete a Filebox

If you decide to delete a Filebox (FB), all FB versions and related data will be deleted permanently from the Datarails database and Datarails storage.

  1. Go to Workspace > Admin>Fileboxes.
  2. Select the Filebox for deletion.
  3. From the 3 dots icon, select Delete Permanently.
  4. Read the message about what will be deleted.
  5. Click Delete.
  6. Enter your DR Admin credentials.
  7. A delete confirmation message appears on the screen.

Delete a Table

If you decide to delete a specific table, all FB versions mapped to that table will be deleted permanently from the Datarails database and Datarails storage.

  1. Go to Workspace > Tables.
  2. Select the table for deletion.
  3. From the 3 dots icon, select Delete Permanently.
  4. A list of FBs related to the table for deletion shows.
  5. Read the message about what will be deleted.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. Enter your DR Admin credentials.
  8. A delete confirmation message appears on the screen.

Delete an Organization

This option is available for DR Admin users only.

When selected:
The organization, tables, Fileboxes and user data will be deleted permanently from the Datarails database, Datarails storage and backups after an agreed retention period.

  1. Go to Workspace > Admin>Organizations.
  2. Select the organization for deletion.
  3. From the 3 dots icon, select Delete Permanently.
  4. Read the message about what will be deleted.
  5. Click Delete.
  6. Enter your DR Admin credentials.
  7. A delete confirmation message appears on the screen.
