The OData feed is available to all Datarails customers at no additional cost - any Contributor user can connect to it using the steps below.

If you need Datarails to push data out to your systems via SFTP, that's a separate, paid service that requires setup by the Datarails team. Contact your CSM or our integrations team to scope it.

Extract Data from Datarails using ODATA

It is possible to query Datarails tables and pull the data using ODATA protocol. In this tutorial we will show how to pull data from Datarails to excel.

Prerequisites

A Datarails Contributor user.

Getting Started

1. Open Excel
2. Click on the Get Data menu, then From other resources, then From OData Feed

3. Copy and paste the following OData base URL according to the URL of your Datarails environment:
   • US: https://app.datarails.com/OData.svc/V2
   • US-2: https://us-2.datarails.com/OData.svc/V2
   • UK: https://ukapp.datarails.com/OData.svc/V2

   • CA: https://caapp.datarails.com/OData.svc/V2

      

4. Enter the user and password of the Contributor.

The list of tables will appear for loading:

For each table you can receive data.

Choose “cleared” version to get only the columns that are visible in the filebox.
